I understand how heavy and invisible depression feels.
For 11 years, I’ve helped clients move out of depression and back into a life that feels like their own.
Have you been carrying self doubt and self hatred for so long that it feels like a fact?
Wondering how everyone else seems to function when you can barely get out of bed?
You may feel lonely, behind in life, unsure how to make friends, or afraid your future doesn’t hold anything. I can help.
therapy may help you if…
you hate yourself and don’t feel good enough no matter what you do
you feel full of dread to do anything so end up stay in bed doom scrolling
struggle in relationships and at work because you always feel inferior to others
can’t stop that inner critic telling you how shitty you are
are terrified of judgement
you used to have the energy to do things but now procrastinate and don’t have any motivation
feel incredibly lonely but feel like you would be a burden or rejected if you reach out to others
don’t feel connected to others even when you hang out with someone because you are so stuck in your head
when you want change but feel to stuck to start, I help you take one step at a time.
3 steps to get started
step 01
book a free call
Fill out the form and share what feels important. You don’t have to have the right words.
step 02
choose when we meet
We’ll talk for 15 minutes to see if working together feels like a fit.
step 03
begin to heal
We’ll get clear on what you’re struggling with and how we’ll start easing the weight of depression.
You don’t have to carry this alone.
how I approach depression therapy
This work is gentle and honest. We look at what still reinforces your negative beliefs and what keeps you stuck.
Once you say the thing out loud, it loses power. We build clarity, momentum, and the ability to be with yourself without fear.

Psychoanalytic Therapy
Helps uncover where your depression originated to reduce self blame, hopelessness, and the belief that nothing can change.Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Clarifies the parts of you that criticize, compare, or shut down increasing internal harmony and steadiness.Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Helps you access and express emotions safely to ease the feeling of being overwhelmed by what you feel.Relational Therapy
Uses our connection to model healthier relationship patterns: strengthens trust, honesty, and emotional safety.Trauma Informed Approach
Supports nervous system regulation, lowering emotional reactivity and the sense of being at war with yourself.
You can’t change tomorrow without understanding today.
there’s a light at the end of the tunnel
you won’t feel depressed forever.
When you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time, it can start to feel like this is just how life is. Therapy creates space to slow things down, quiet the noise, and reconnect with yourself — so you can move forward with more clarity and steadiness instead of just getting through the day.
After working together, you may experience:
a quieter, less critical inner voice
renewed motivation and energy
a clearer sense of who you are
confidence to make changes, including changing jobs
the ability to step away from draining relationships
more ease being alone without feeling lonely
fewer negative spirals — and the ability to break out of them when they happen
If you’ve been surviving for a long time, this work helps you begin living with more intention, choice, and self-trust.
hi, I'm dr. Ann Krajewski, psd
My therapy goes deeper than symptom management. I pay attention to your patterns, your history, and the parts of you that learned to cope alone. I bring warmth, curiosity, and humor into the rom, and ask questions that help you understand why you feel the way you do.
In our sessions, we’ll move carefully but honestly. We’ll work at a pace that feels supportive but meaningful. I also believe deeply in doing my own inner work, because I can’t guide you anywhere I’m unwilling to go myself.
Availability: I work with patients online in Washington DC, & Virginia.
