Does this sound familiar?
you have done everything “right”yet you still feel miserable.
You are paralyzed by your anxiety
You are terrified of depression taking over your life but can never get rid of that sadness you know is there deep down
You doom scroll in bed for hours trying to escape your thoughts and feelings
You feel like an imposter and tire yourself out by trying to appear perfect
You continue to hate yourself despite all the things you do to feel good enough
You don’t feel secure and confident at work, despite the long hours you spend going above and beyond
No amount of dieting and exercise helps you to feel good about your body
You struggle to date and find a committed partner, or when you do end up in a relationship it is way more anxiety provoking and unfulfilling than you thought it would be
Most of all, you feel lost and confused as to why you can’t escape these feelings. You don’t know who you are and you can’t seem to develop the type of loving and caring relationships you desperately long for.
life doesn’t have to stay this way.
Hi, I am Dr. Ann Krajewski, and I can help.
I provide virtual therapy using a process and insight oriented approach. I create space for you to talk about your thoughts, feelings and experiences so that you can finally begin to understand what is going on inside. We will journey together to discover what keeps you stuck and help you finally find space create change in your life. I believe people begin to transform when they take the risk of exploring their internal world in a way they’ve never allowed themselves to before.
My clients walk away from therapy with me feeling less confused about why they do what they do, feeling more accepting of all the parts of themselves, and feeling a deeper connection to themselves and others.

Anxiety can weave itself into every moment of your day. From the first light of dawn, shadowing your thoughts with worries about the day ahead, to the quiet of night where reflections on the day’s words and actions linger. Together, we can unravel the dynamics that allow anxiety to take hold and reclaim your days with peace and clarity.

Therapy FAQ
-
There is no right or wrong decision when it comes to choosing to go to therapy or not. However, it may be time to consider therapy if you are struggling with thoughts, feelings or behaviors that cause you distress and are impacting your life.
You don’t have to wait until something is overly distressing to go to therapy though. I would recommend going to therapy if you are wanting to improve your understanding of yourself, deepen your relationships, and want feel less stuck in growing or moving forward in certain areas of your life.
If you are feeling the urge or desire to go to therapy, you can at least try it out and see if helps you.

A therapist is a general term to encompass someone who is trained and licensed to provide psychotherapy. However, you may notice that therapist is also a general term used for massage therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and so on. Within the mental health field, it is a catch all term to include therapists who have various licensures (i.e., Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Psychologists, etc). I can also include individuals who are currently undergoing training and are not yet licensed but are practicing under supervision of a licensed therapists.
Psychologist on the other hand, is a specific term used for individuals who have earned a doctoral degree in psychology. So they typically have more education and training before licensure. This often comes along with the reputation for being able to treat more complicated issues, but this often depends on where they completed their therapy training. They also are able to provide more services, such as psychological testing and are able to teach at a higher educational level.

At this point, there isn’t much difference between these words. They are often used interchangeably to mean the act of going to a licensed mental health professional to receive services, which often times is talk therapy.
However, it may be used to differentiate the approach of the mental health professional. Counseling is at times a more forward focused, strength based approach to talk therapy. While therapy may mean a more past oriented approach and can be more aimed at addressing problems.
I personally use counseling and therapy intertacheably on my website mainly because most people searching for services don’t know the difference. My recommendation would be to read through the therapist’s website or book a consultation with them. You can get a feel for what their approach is and if it fits what you are looking for.

I only offer virtual therapy at this time, which means we will meet weekly through a video platform (something like zoom with our videos on).
Most of my patients find virtual therapy to be effective and do not have any problems conducting therapy with me online.
However, we would not be the best fit if you are someone who wants in-person work. If you read through my website and it resonates with you but aren’t sure if virtual services would be right for you - I would recommend you to schedule a consult and maybe try 2-3 sessions to get a feel for if it could work for you.
I want you to be comfortable and know that sometimes you don’t know if something works for you until you try it out.
